We are a no-kill, non-profit animal shelter dedicated to providing homeless and/or unwanted dogs a second chance for a happy life through adoption. The Happy Day Humane Society was the vision of Margaret Lloyd and Dorothy Garrett who started the Howard County Humane Society in Big Spring many years ago on a shoestring budget to save neglected animals and provide a service to our community. Today's Happy Day Humane Society was their dream and we are fortunate to carry out their vision and continue to save many unfortunate animals inour community. We currently care for more than 100 dogs looking for a forever home.
